Have a free light breakfast served on the way up on the train, then spend the day Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowmobiling or just visiting and Shopping in Beautiful and historic Winter Park. Deeply discounted lift tickets are available on the Ski Train for passengers saving you big bucks off of normal peak season lift ticket rates. At the end of the day board the train again for the relaxing ride back into Denver and enjoy some hot soup, snacks and sandwiches for free, and of course 'Beverages' will also be available...you deserve it! Ski Train tickets are available for purchase separately so that the entire family can join us without having to pay for training seminars that spouses or children might not attend. Krav Maga Instructors who attend will relieve 2 Continuing Education Credits towards their required CEU's for the year.

Once you register for the Winter Camp 2008, you will receive via email a packet containing information to help you get organized for the trip making it literally a no-brainer. Here are some links for you to check out in advance....

  • Ski Train - have a look at where your headed and get pertinent information
  • Winter Park Ski Resort - if you are a 'first timer' on the slopes, you will get the most out of this trip by reserving 'ski school' lessons for a half or full day. Trust us it's worth it. You will have tons of fun while you are learning to ski or ride, and you'll spend less time on your backs! (if you have kids, put them in ski-school too, it's a great place for them to learn, have fun, and make new friends) If you are going to do lessons, they include lift tickets so you won't need to buy them separately in most cases.
  • Ski and Board - This Year, one of our outstanding Krav Maga students will help set anyone who needs it up with gear. Get your boots, bindings, helmets, poles and such at a discounted rate AND we'll help arrange delivery or early pick up for your stuff, and as usual we'll return the stuff for you if you have an early flight back home on Monday.
  • Westin Westminster Hotel - this is a 4-star hotel very close to the training center. We have negotiated a special Krav Maga Rate of only $xxx/night. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel, and on the Promenade (the hotel is part of it) there are any number of eateries available from Subway, to Sushi, Mexican, Pub, and PF Changs. We will give you a special contact to call to book this rate once you have registered.
  • Ramada Plaza Hotel - this is another near by hotel, a little further but not by much. It also has an on-site restaurant and many others across the street. The Krav Maga rate here is only $89/night. Call 303-452-4100 to book hotel and ask for the Krav Maga rate.

The Training Line up......

Force Meets Force
Training with Darren is always an eye opener! This year we're accessing the highest levels of Krav Maga with Knife vs. Knife training, Stick vs. Stick training, and all the combinations in between.

 The Pre-fight meets the Fight!
There is a whole portion of your training missing! What happens BEFORE the attack, before the fight, before the first punch is thrown! Included are more strategies to win the confrontation like:
-The Power of Pre-Emption
-Timing and Counter punching
-Dominating the Clinch
-Attacking from the sprawl

Jeff Jimmo digs down into this realm imparting his expert knowledge as a bouncer and proffressional fight trainer for many years.

Advanced Handgun Defenses
Even if you don't have all the basics down, you need to know how to defend against some difficult threats with a handgun. John Whitman will visit these angles and problems with the same principled approach to problem solving as every thing else Krav Maga.
Ground Finishes
We can't have a visit from Uncle Jeff and not pick his brain on some of the best ground finishing moves available. With his diverse background and his continuing professional career training and training with professional MMA fighters, Jeff is a wealth of knowledge.

Higher Force Options, for REAL-
Well almost. We're using .43 caliber air driven Glock replica (UMAREX) pistols and learning how to access a weapon that you may be carrying if needed in an attack. Practice self defense and weapons defenses and then engage both static and live active targets with your handgun. Semi-automatic action let's you work in as a real environment as possible without getting into live fire. Used by the military and SWAT units everywhere, these are amazing tools.
Weapon Familiarization
Learn to draw, operate, aim, and fire the pistols we'll be using in the Force on Force and Higher Force Option seminars. This is a great time for beginners to learn the basics of Shooting. Lot's of Firearms Instructors will be on hand to teach the basics and get you comfortable with the weapon.
